The Highland Neuropsychology Experience

Referral Process

Intake Appointment

Testing Appointment

Highland Neuropsychological requires a referral from a prescribing provider. If you want to make a referral, please see our referral form

The first appointment is a one-hour intake. During this appointment, our doctor will interview you, review the referral, and gather a detailed history. This is an opportunity for you to learn more about what to expect and allows time to address any questions you may have about the process. If you would like to bring a support person whom you believe would be helpful in answering questions, that is encouraged.

Next, there is a testing appointment scheduled for a 3-hour time slot. During this time, the psychometrist will carry out all necessary measures to accurately assess the identified needs. Once the testing is complete, your doctor will review the test scores and write a report. A feedback appointment is then scheduled to discuss the results of your test. Both you and your referring professional will receive a copy of your report.
